So, who is The Green Adventurer?

This blog started out as a simple concept between two friends who are passionate about outdoor adventure. Sitting around a fire one night, we said “hey, why not blog about trips we’ve taken and gear we’ve used?”

What about credibility, or “who cares what we think?”

Although both of us have careers that have very little to do with “outdoor adventure,” we’re pretty sure most or our readers are in the same boat. Let’s be honest, most of us have to work in order to afford our hobbies. We aren’t professional adventure athletes, we don’t work for big gear companies, but we do share a passion for outdoor adventure, outdoor gear, and anything that falls somewhere in between. We love to head out on epic adventures, but reality dictates that most of our adventuring takes place within reasonable distances from our homes. Sure, Moab or Nepal would be amazing, and we’ll get there eventually, but in the meantime, we’ll be talking about the trips we take and the gear we use on a regular basis. If we find a piece of gear that works great, we’ll talk about it, and if it sucks, we’ll still talk about it. Hopefully our reviews will help other average people like us make informed decisions.

Finally, we are firm believers in taking care of our planet, which includes using eco-friendly gear whenever we can, and practicing “leave no trace ethics” whenever we venture outside. Hence our name – The Green Adventurer.

So now you know what we’re all about. Please feel free to contribute and let us know what you think.
